Eligibility Criteria:

Annual Household Income Loan and Property Limits House Ownership
  • EWS: Up to ₹3 lakh p.a.
  • LIG: Up to ₹3 to ₹6 lakh p.a.
  • MIG: Up to ₹6 to ₹9 lakh p.a.
  • Maximum Housing Loan Eligible: ₹25 lakh
  • Maximum House Value: ₹35 lakh
  • Maximum Carpet Area: 120 sqm
  • The applicant must not own a pucca house anywhere in the country.
  • The house must be in the name of the Female head of the household or jointly in the name of both spouses. Exceptions apply in cases where there is no adult female member, or the applicant is a widower, unmarried, separated, or transgender.

Scheme Coverage:

The scheme covers all Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) and Urban Development Authorities (UDAs) where PMAY-U is being implemented, including newly constituted urban statutory towns post-Census 2011. These lists are tentative and will be updated as necessary to reflect any additions or dissolutions of urban statutory towns or development authorities.
